Wagon Builders with examples listed above
"Note: These builders are taken from references found in various publications and not all company titles and addresses are complete or verified. Hirers did have wagons built for them sometimes plated with them as the builder. Normally the works involved is not cited in magazines. Some wagon users also built or substantially rebuilt wagons in their repair shops and many builders/repairers rebuilt second-hand wagons which often went into hire fleets. These were often re-plated and renumbered. NOTE: Since this site started many changes have taken place the most inportant being the publication of British Carriage & Wagon Builders & Repairers 1830 - 2006, by Chris Sambrook, Lightmoor Press, ISBN 13: 9781899889273, http://www.lightmoor.co.uk/index.htm which is the most comprehensive list I have come across.
